Dog In Pain To An Injury — Animal Care in Raleigh, NC
Illness and injury exams are seen as need requires. Full exam with additional workup as needed, including in-house and outside lab tests, and radiology. Hospitalization is also provided as necessary.

Yearly Wellness Exams & Vaccinations

Yearly wellness exams are vital in helping us assess your pet's current status and allows us to detect potential problems earlier. With the changing recommendations for vaccination intervals, we try to find a schedule relevant to your pet's needs.

Spay & Neutering

Spay and neutering is offered for dogs and cats. We recommend a pre-surgical anesthetic blood panel to help us detect potential problems prior to surgery. Cats being neutered go home the same day; dogs being neutered and dogs and cats being spayed go home the following day. This overnight stay allows us to minimize activity post surgery, monitor recovery, and evaluate any possible complications the following day. We offer post surgery take home pain relievers following the injectable form administered prior to surgery.

Radiographs (x-rays) allow non-invasive exam of your pet. We provide both plain film and barium series radiographs. For those more difficult interpretations, we have a board certified radiologist available for evaluations usually given within 24 hours.

We offer multiple surgical procedures including lumpectomies, exploratories, intestinal and orthopedic surgeries.

Dental Care

Dental cleanings are done under general anesthesia so that we can assess the entire oral cavity, including under the gum line. The teeth are probed for periodontal pockets, scaled clean of tartar/calculus, and polished smooth. Oral surgery is performed as needed, when a tooth is loose, fractured or abscessed. A pre-anesthetic blood panel is recommended for these procedures. Minimal anesthetic drugs and speedy procedure time helps us reduce the risks of anesthesia. Post cleaning care may include antibiotics and pain relievers as needed. Keeping your pet's teeth clean is one of the most important ways to keep them healthy and living longer!

Bathing with the appropriate medicated shampoo and conditioner your pet needs is offered with drop off in the morning as early as 7:30 am and pick up after 3:00 pm. We include nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal sac expression as needed.

Although boarding is limited due to the size of our kennel, we provide this service as available. Cats and dogs stay in individual cages or runs and twice-daily walks are provided for dogs behind our office in a fenced-in spacious area. Ask for a tour, we'll be happy to oblige.
